Magical creatures are any species' that are composed at least partially of magic of any kind. Most often, magical creatures contain some Elemental magic within organic bodies. They are taxonomically classified within Animalia, not in their own kingdom.
Magical composition:
Summary: Demons are a low-magical-composition humanoid species closely related to humans. They are often taller than humans, have higher muscle density on average, and begin to slow in aging around the age of 40 years old. Like humans, they are characterised by hairlessness and bipedality, however they have longer canine teeth than humans and large, pointed ears. They have scaled wings on their upper backs, below the shoulders, with a wingspan that varies between 110%-161% of their arm's length. Regardless of wingspan, their Air Elemental magic grants demons the capablity of flight. In addition, they have long, highly flexible, scaled tails with small venom sacs in the lowest fourth of the tail. Venom is secreted through any of the 4-6 bone-like spines at the tip and is highly lethal. Most often, they use their tails for hunting.Colloquial terms for demons has varied throughout time, but many languages have referred to them in the past centuries with a term equivallent to their modern English name. The name nomala originates from their own word for their species.
The known majority of the species lives in the Underworld, a vast cavern system deep underground, likely located within the centre-north of the Eurasian continent. It's exact location is yet unknown in large part due to an ancient cloaking spell which hides them from both magical and physical means of detection. []
History: Little evidence of ancestor species' remains, though what is clear is that demons are distantly related to the extinct harpies, though neither is a predicessor of the other. Both species' are much older than humans, with demons being the only other true hominid to survive into the modern era.
Habitat: The Underworld, The Great Lakes region of North America, Southeastern Algeria, Hokkaido (suspected)
